LOGAN’S RUN 2024 SCHEDULE

April is National Autism Acceptance Month, and on Saturday, April 27, 2024, the Autism Society Greater Harrisburg Area will hold our annual Logan’s Run 5k and Family Fun Walk. The 5k Run will begin at 10 a.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.), and the Family Fun Walk will begin at noon (registration begins at 11 a.m.).

Logan’s Run 5k is named in memory of Logan Mitcheltree, a young boy with Autism from South Williamsport who, in December of 2004, died tragically after he became lost on a wooded mountainside. While there is progress being made in our understanding of Autism, Logan’s story is a sobering reminder that Autism can bring an array of serious concerns and challenges for families, beginning with the child’s vulnerability and safety. Every dollar raised by the Logan’s Run will go directly to help individuals and families in Central Pennsylvania deal with the unexpected and often devastating diagnosis of Autism. Funds raised provide educational, social, and recreational opportunities for the local Autism community. The events on April 27th will include prizes for runners, refreshments, and entertainment for children.

NOTE: Registration deadline to ensure a T-shirt (short or long sleeve) is April 12. Runners can register after April 10 for the late fee of $35.00; a T-shirt is not guaranteed after April 12.
